I imported the Scout MK III from Australia for a television pilot I was
producing last year. It was sold to me by the inventor of the airplane,
Mr. Ron Wheeler.
An example of the aircraft is on display in the famous
Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Wheeler included the original
manuals, which are very detailed regarding assembly, transport, and flight
characteristics. I replaced many wires and any parts that appeared worn or
damaged, under the supervision of licenesed ultralight instructor James
Spadafora.
Mr. Wheeler told me that the engine had very few hours on it,
and Mr. Spadafora agreed that the engine appeared to be in excellent
running order. I also purchased a BRS for the plane which is included. The
sail is sun faded and worn in spots, but has no major damage.
The airplane
is currently in a hangar in PEMBERTON
(not Pembroke as listed above), New
Jersey and the buyer will be responsible for picking it up from this
location or paying all shipping costs. The plane can be easily broken down
within an hour or so for transport on the roof rack of a car.
