If you are an ultralight aircraft owner, especially if you own a plane
that is several years old, you will probably have noticed your craft's
fabric colour fading. You will also probably have had to replace a number
of items over the years that have been "wind damaged."
The reason of course is "Mother Nature's" sun and wind. Well
Cover-all shelters has a very unique and cost effective way of preventing
"Mother" from getting at your craft - an ultralight or light
plane hangar.
The unit on display was designed for buildings in the 40
foot wide range. It featured some very massive galvanized steel tubing.
The building is available as a kit which the owner can put together on
site. Construction should take about 3 days to put a 40 x 30
building up. "It is like a big mecano set." For assembly you
will need basic hand tools like a ratchet and socket set. The building
framework is assembled on the ground, and the lifted up into place using a
boom truck.
The hangar can be put on just about any surface. It
would be bolted to concrete, or in for ground installations "duck
bill" or "4 foot screw anchor bolts can be used. An advantage
this type of construction has over other buildings is that it can easily
disassembled and relocated if necessary.
The covering material is a "polyethylene woven fabric
with a 16 by 16 weave, colour coated on both sides and UV inhibited."
The have a number optional features, these include lighting, insulations,
end panels and doors.
