Each morning for the last couple of
years ultralight campers have awoken to the sound of a banjo. A banjo
that is played by none other than Lee Floyd III, designer and
manufacturer of the Para-cycle - powered parachute.
For those not familiar with the
Para-cycle it is quite different than your conventional PPC. In fact in
reality it is three units in one. It can be pedaled just like a bicycle,
driven like a mopehead, or flown like a powered parachute.
Last year Lee showed up with a battery
powered version of his craft, which when in the "electric
stage" would travel on battery power for about 20 minutes at about
4 mph. This year the battery and electric motor had been replaced by a 2
hp. Zenoa motor which according to the literature handed out at the show
"makes it a practical moped."
Thus you can bike, drive, and fly with
NO license in most states!
