SERVICE
LETTER #11
SUBJECT:
WING TANK RECALL
TO:
KITFOX OWNERS WITH WING TANKS RECEIVED BEFORE MARCH 23, 1987
FROM:
DENNEY AEROCRAFT COMPANY
If
you have a wing tank that you received before March 23, 1987, there is the
possibility that it may develop a leak in the bottom welded edge. We have
found that after a number of hours of use, the flexing of the bottom skin
may cause the weld to crack.
Send
your wing tank back to Denney Aerocraft and we will correct it at NO
CHARGE. If your tank is already installed, we recommend that you remove it
and send it back.
