KITFOX
SERVICE LETTER #3
SUBJECT:
SPARK PLUGS AND SHIELDS
TO:
ALL KITFOX OWNERS
FROM:
DENNEY AEROCRAFT’ COMPANY
SPARK
PLUG SHIELDS:
Some builders in the field have experienced problems with the optional
metal shielded spark plug connectors. If you have some in new condition,
please return them for credit and we will send you the new style resistor
plug connectors. The shield to use is NGK part number LBO5EP or LBO5EV.
SPARK
PLUGS:
If you are using NGK part number LBO5EP or LBO5EV, do not use the resistor
type spark plug such as NGK BR8ES. When both are used together, the
resistance limits the spark plugs ability to operate at maximum efficiency
resulting in a loss of power. The correct plug to use is the NGK B8ES.
