Emerald Coast powered parachute

Emerald Coast Aircraft XL2 - XL2 Sport- Factory representative describe the Emerald Coast powered parachute as the "model T of powered parachutes."  To do this they are offering a complete powered parachute fuselage, ready to have an engine and chute installed on it for just under $3,000.

The airframe packages use a spring steel suspension system, mated to a heavy tube airframe, and steel roll bar cage. This gives the unit an all out weight with a 503 dual carb Rotax engine of 289 lbs.

Other features include a center mounted throttle, which allows for left or right hand pilots. A steel compression truss system on the front end helps in hard landings.

Heavy 7,000 lbs load 1/4 inch steel cables are used in the parachute support arms. The unit uses two separate seats, for added comfort for both pilot and passenger. The steering unit is a 2 to 1 pulley system, the wheels are steel wheels with big fat mud grip tires, these are upgradeable to aluminum wheels. Everything except for the aircraft cables which are supplied through the aviation industry are manufactured in house.

The units can also be finished by the factory with engine, chute etc. Currently a dealer network is in the process of being set up.
