Powrachute Corporation - Showed up in a big way
at Sun N Fun with their PC 2000 model. The
"new guy on the block" has been in the "R & D"
stages for the last year. "The idea behind the PC 2000 is to build
a simple, clean, strong flying machine." One of the ways of
accomplishing this is by increasing the size of tubing used on the
craft.
Some one looking at the PC 2000 sees a unique
difference in the craft immediately, the large size of tubing used in
the airframe, "during R&D our research found that larger
diameter, thinner walled tubing gave better strength."
The PC 2000 is available in kit form or can be
assembled for the customer through an extensive dealer, distributor
network. The kit comes with the 582 Rotax with an E box, and testing is
currently underway using the Hirth fuel injected aircraft engines.
Standard features include, easy build airframe
kit, Ram-Air chutes from Performance Design or Quantum, three blade
propeller, EIS engine information system, 4 point seat restraints,
storage compartment under seat, line socks, single magnum strobe, spin lock
trim tabs, oversized chute bag, as well as a variety of airframe and
chute colors.
According to the factory they will be
concentrating "manufacturing and supplying the product"
leaving the sales in the hands of their distributors and dealers.
