Do not spin this aircraft. If the aircraft does enter a spin it will
return to earth without further attention on the part of the aeronaut. -

Several years ago I ran into one of my old flames. Despite the
years, she still looked the fox, and stirred up old memories! This year at Sun N Fun I met
another of my old flames, a Lazair. But, this old flame
hadn't aged a day!
There was a reason for that, she has never been flown! The plane was purchased by the
owner from a store that had it hanging from the ceiling of it's sporting goods department,
in fact it hadn't even been completely finished.
The owner Tony Gilbert a North Carolina resident heard about the plane from a friend, one
problem it was in California! No problem! A week later he is in California with truck and
trailer picking up not only this beauty but also a two place.
That was three years ago, since that time he has been working on finishing the plane, and
getting everything back to original condition. This included mating the engines to the
wings, making battery boxes, etc. No plans came with the plane so that information had to
be sourced from all over. The plane on display is one of the nicest finished Lazairs I
have ever seen. Everything was polished, the two kfm engines with expansion chambers all
chromed, was something to see. Tony indicates he has no plans on flying the plane, but
that it might be for sale. At the time of writing Tony also had 25 complete tedlar
recovering kits, with tape etc. for Lazairs.
