HuntWing trike plans

The Huntwing is that rare bird, a BCAR Section S certified trike you can build from plans. Rarer still, this bird can be built as a two-seater!

Although the Huntwing is not right at the leading edge of trike design, according to its designer, John Hunt, the Huntwing puts up a creditable showing, with a respectable cruising speed of 60mph, and handling competitive with the "big names", the Quantum and Blade.

The Huntwing uses tried and true contruction techniques, very similar to most of the commercial trikes available.

The plans cost 125 UK pounds and consist of 100 drawings and 100 pages of description, direct from John. The only part of the aircraft that you don't build yourself is the sail, which is manufactured by Hiway Hang Gliders in the UK, who hold the pattern. They can also supply the required tubing if you have trouble getting it.
