Birdman Aircraft's Birdman Atlas ultralight is a singer seat, wire braced, high wing taildragger aircraft, in a pusher configuration. The Birdman Atlas uses bolt together aluminum tube construction covered in dacron sailcloth.

The Birdman Atlas has a bungee cord style landing gear on the two main wheels and tail wheel. Controls on the Birdman Atlas are weight shift with a hand throttle.

The Birdman Atlas is powered by a twin cylinder Rotax 300 cc engine of 28 hp through a belt reduction drive. Cruise is 25 to 35 mph, VNE 55 mph, stall 17 mph, climb rate 600 feet per minute. The Birdman Atlas was produced from the late 70's until the early 80's.
