Rotec Rally 2 B ultralight, ultra lite aircraft, amateur built, experimental, homebuilt aircraft.

Rotec Engineering produced the Rotec Rally 2 B from about 1980 until 1985. It is a single seat, high wing, wire braced taildragger, with the motor in a pusher configuration. The Rally 2 B uses aluminum tube bolt together construction, covered in dacron sailcloth.

The Rotec Rally 2 B uses an overhead stick for elevator control, rudder pedals operating the rudder and steerable tailwheel. The throttle is a motorcycle style twist grip which is located on the elevator control stick.

The plane is equipped with spoilerons to aid in roll contol.

A number of engines were used on the Rally 2 B, including Kohler, Sachs, Rotax, Kawasaki and Cuyuna. The kit was an assembly kit taking approximately 75 hours to complete.

Bill Adasaka owner of Rotec Engineering was "a super salesman, even by Texas standards" and even today you can find aircraft in barns where he convinced people to become a dealer and purchase 5 aircraft, which once sold would give you yours at no cost!

There are a number of problems with the Rally 2 B the least of which is that is uses light rope for the elevator and rudder controls!
