The Renegade Spirit first introduced in 1986 is a tandem seating

The fuselage is rivet

A T.U.F. VIEW
Cruise on the Renegade Spirit is 80 m.p.h. at 6,000 RPM. Climb rate at gross about 700
feet per minute. Stall comes in around 40 m.p.h.
Control pressure is light and pilot
comfort good. Visibility on landing is somewhat restricted requiring the pilot to side
slip, which is easily accomplished with 4 ailerons and 18 feet 6 inches of fuselage.
While
the empty weight is listed at 420, most I have seen are coming in closer to 525. This is
another design that could use a little more power.
Great little aeroplane for that pilots
that loves the biplane, open cockpit feeling. Problems have been reported with engine
mounts, overheating, and wing construction.
